This year was all about the ultimate Christmas present that can be purchased for Juniour. Tom Papadopoulos of Autosport Designs has developed a suite of Group Harrington Juniour luxury cars that are miniature in size and a perfect fit for the little man who wants to drive a car just like dad’s, and right along side dad’s.

At this stage options include a juniour sized Shelby Cobra both with racing stripes or without. The little models sport many characteristic features such as the wishbone suspension upfront and on the rear. The automotive tech includes adjustable gas shock absorbers on all four wheels, vented disk brakes with Brembo callipers and a tooting horn to boot. Engineered with a 125cc four stroke engine, this little car can really make its paces around the estate.
Another popular choice is also the mint green Aston Martin, looking like the perfect replica of the original, only much smaller and with a relatively miniature price tag of $19,000. Like the Shelby, the miniature Aston Martin is built with 3 speed shifter karts that can reach speeds just under 100km/h, yet parents can requests to have the speeds capped for safety and stability as these little people-movers are designed to be docile.
As a business that is in the industry of restoring and selling vintage, classic, and exotic cars, amongst their retinue is a Ferrari that has been salvaged from the Detroit riots. Built as a 250GT lightweight, an earlier version of the same model sold for $8.2 million. Papadopoulos explains that his company has some of the world’s most rare and collectible automobiles make their way through his yards.
For Papadopoulos he recognises his cars are probably not for every kid, but has pitched these luxury bespoke miniature vehicles to “kids with means”. Maybe when I’m older one day I can be a “kid with means” too?
