The Luxury Travel Fair held earlier this month in association with Condé Nast Traveller, was heralded a huge success by both its organisers and attendees. As the only luxury travel event in the UK that is dedicated to the consumer market, it offered a unique opportunity to showcase the newest trends in luxury travel.
With the stated objective of ‘Showcasing the most luxurious and high-end travel experiences from all corners of the globe’, the fair offered the discerning travelers present, an eye opening look into secret and untouched destinations. According to the PR representative Camilla Redwing, a “hand-picked selection of travel brands including luxury resorts, undiscovered boutique hotels, private game reserves, and safaris, first-class travel specialists and bespoke luxury tour operators were present to showcase their latest, most lavish, and exclusive offerings alongside new ideas for future holidays.”
Travel experts and hoteliers from top luxury brands, such as Audley Travel, Trailfinders and Flight Centre, were present to interact with visitors and offer some pearls of advice and good ideas about potential destinations. Guests were given lots of ‘food for thought’ in relation to fulfilling their travel aspirations. Experts were able to provide invaluable advice to help bring together a perfect bespoke luxury vacation, that suited an individual’s needs and interests perfectly.
The fair also put on some great entertainment that included a panel of “Meet the Experts Theatre” which featured humourous interviews with popular personalities such as Bill Bryson (travel writer), Michael Portillo (Great Railway Journeys), and Doug Allan (Experience “Life behind the lens”). They all talked about their most memorable travel experiences and heaps of inspiration “to just get out there”.
