UK-based motor show, Salon Privé, ended last night after three days of incredible automotive showcase.
Salon Privé is a motor show unlike any other. It is the most prestigious motor show for rare and luxury cars in the world, featuring the latest supercars, hypercars, concept cars and the most beautiful classic cars ever assembled. This fabulous event took place at the World Heritage Site of Blenheim Palace in charming Woodstock, where the spectacular cars shined together with diamond-wearing guests who strolled the gardens of the Palace sipping champagne.
The 2015 motor show, in its 10th edition, took place this past September 3rd-5th, 2015. Some of the highlights of the event were a couple of Bugatti EB110s, a Harrods McLaren F1, a Jaguar XJ220S, a Maserati MC12, several Koenigsegg models including the Agera ‘N’, a very unique Lancia Aurelia B24 Spyder, the blue wrapped Pagani Huayra and the new Zenvo, worth more than £1.5m.
Three track-only hypercars were also on display including the Ferrari FXX K, McLaren P1 GTR and a clay model Aston Martin Vulcan.
Winner of the Best of Show award was the Jaguar XK120 Jabbeke, while a Delahaye 135 MS Cabriolet won the Visitors’ Favourite award and the Bentley 4 1/4 Sedanca Coupe claimed the Pre-war Luxury & Touring award.
Hypercars, supercars and classic cars were not the only attraction at the 2015 Salon Privé. The Boodles Ladies Day competition which aims to identify the most chic outfit, elegant dresses, outstanding hair pieces and flawless style in general, was a real draw-card.
And the pièce de résistance: the stunning Aston Martin DB10, soon to be seen driven by Daniel Craig in the new James Bond movie Spectre. Only 10 Aston Martin DB10s have been produced and the 007’s car was only seen at the motor show by premium ticket holders.
