Back in November, the brothers spent over 1000 hours and more than\u00a0 \u00a34,000 to adapt a Daewoo Matiz into a life-size replica of the kid\u2019s classic Little Tykes car. The red and yellow plastic vehicle you used to scoot around in as a toddler, using Flintstone-style leg power, is now worthy of taking out beyond the cul-de-sac.<\/p>\n
The original plan of the Bitmead brothers of using the car as a charity fundraising tool didn\u2019t take off and the climate-uncontrolled car is now being sold on ebay for at least \u00a321,500, having only 5,000 miles on its odometer. This may very well be the best chance you\u2019ll have at hanging onto your lost childhood.<\/p>\n
The oversized spin-off of the Little Tykes car is street-legal, motorized and fully driveable at up to 70 mph. It sports the classic yellow top, giant windowless window panes and chunky wheels and although the cartoon-style eyes featured on the front of the original car were not included in the adult-size replica, you\u2019ll have enough eyes on you as you drive through the streets of London.<\/p>\n
