Les Portes du Soleil - Avoriaz, Morzine, Les Gets
Les Portes du Soleil is the perfect destination for a family. It is 45 km from Sion Airport, and 50 km from Geneva Airport. The picturesque village of Samoens is an hour's drive from Avoriaz. Chatel is 130 km from Geneva Airport.
Les Gets offers village-based nursery slopes and a pedestrian-friendly centre. The region has 286 runs. There is a large choice of accommodation including child-friendly chalets with nannies. Avoriaz offers ski-in / ski-out apartments. It has five terrain parks and a superpipe. Morzine is great for beginners with wide, tree-lined blue and red pistes.

Megeve - between Chamonix and Courchevel
Megeve is a delightful village with horse-drawn sleighs in the region of Mont Blanc.In this area you will find St Gervais, Les Houches and le Grand Bornand. The ski area extends from 950m to 1900m. From the summit, there is a breathtaking view of the Mont-Blanc Massif. There are 55 km of scenic slopes meandering through the forests. They include four black runs, one of which is the international world cup Kandahar. In the village are hamlets with small chapels and fascinating old bread ovens. Les Houches is ideal for families - it has wide open blue pistes and a dedicated Ski Camp play area.

If you enjoy cycling, this region features in the Tour de France, with its famous 21 hairpin bends. Alpes d’Huez is part of the Grand Domaine ski area which includes the resorts of Auris-en-Oisans, Vaujany, Huez-en-Oisans and Oz-en-Oisans.

Enjoy skiing and snowboarding and fabulous glacier views. After your ski run, visit the 1726 village church. It has a beautiful gilded altarpiece and a baroque bell tower. Then enjoy a treat at one of the local crêperies. Accommodation is in luxury chalets.
