The LaFerrari has pulled off its top and to be quite frank, I think you could fairly say that we are all enjoying the view. Retaining all its highly covetous supercar looks of the LaFerrari, Ferrari’s only electric hybrid, this open top LaFerrari is targeted towards previous clients and collectors. According to the press release it’s a car for those customers that just don’t want to have to compromise, you know, by having to choose between a convertible or a supercar. Oh these decisions make life so difficult!
Set to be announced and unveiled at the Paris International Motor Show, only then will Ferrari’s millions of fans around the world get to find out what the supercar’s actual specs will be. All technical data, including the name of the model, have still not yet been revealed. All that Ferrari has been sure to make clear is that this LaFerrari drop top will be produced in a highly limited edition special series. Which by the way, in case you were wondering, have all already been accounted for, as Ferrari has sold each model in a special preview to a highly select number of guests.
The LaFerrari, umm Spyder(?) will be built with either a removable carbon fibre hard top or a removable soft top. It is also expected to retain the same performance figures as its predecessor in the coupe, sporting the same 800 cv V12 that is paired with a 120 kW electric motor (163 cv), which together unleashes 963 cv in total. Furthermore we also know that extensive modifications have be made to the chassis so that it would still retain the same torsional rigidity and beam stiffness of the La Ferrari coupe. The supercar’s aerodynamics also had to be tampered with so that it would have an equivalent drag coefficient despite not having a roof.
