The new 2019 Porsche 911 (992) Cabriolet is unmistakably a 911. Even though it received a completely updated look, it still holds true to the iconic 911 design. To make it even bolder and more demanding, the automaker added 45mm more width to its body. In addition, the bonnet creases add to its overall stunning appearance while the large alloy wheels fill up the wheel arches beautifully.
One of the main additions to the newest Porsche 911 (992) Cabriolet is the folding fabric roof. Within 12 seconds, it opens and closes with ease. It can even be operated while traveling up to 30 mph. Once the top is down, drivers also have access to a wind deflector to ensure that no one’s hair gets messed up.
The new Porsche 911(922) Cabriolet comes with a powerful twin-turbo 3.0-liter flat-six engine which pumps out 450 horsepower. This is paired with an eight-speed PDK transmission that helps the Carrera 2S go from 0-60 mph in just 3.7 seconds. The Carrera 4S, on the other hand, hits 60 mph in only 3.6 seconds.
With the Porsche Active Suspension Management, drivers can stiffen the suspension themselves to offer heightened control while driving on twisty roads. The standard suspension on the car is already stiffer to begin with and lowered by 10mm for superior handling.
Inside the Porsche 911 (992) Cabriolet, you see the perfect blend between what once was and what is. The modern feel is completed with two 10.9-inch infotainment screens. There’s also plenty of standard equipment such as automatic emergency braking and a reverse camera. Optional equipment includes adaptive cruise control, night vision and an autonomous emergency assist system.
There’s also a new Wet Mode which offers additional security whenever the car is on a slippery road. The Porsche 911 (992) Cabriolet is currently available in two formats: the two-wheel-drive Carrera S and the four-wheel-drive Carrera 4S.
