The Aston Martin DB9 is a 2-door coupé GT sports car, equipped with a 5.9L V12 engine. The DB9 was unveiled in Sep. 2003, and its much anticipated launch in 2004 marked the ground-up rebuilding of Aston Martin. Till this day, the DB9 is the embodiment of the company’s philosophy. Dr. Ulrich Bez, Aston Martin’s CEO, had previously been head of research and development at Porsche. When he came over in 2000, he instigated a new strategy at Aston Martin, and since then all Astons are based on the same aluminum platform. The Aston Martin DB9 was built to look as if it were milled from a solid piece of aluminum. The interior design has won countless awards and is still miles ahead of the competition in many aspects.
