992 C4S in crayon with vet’s forearm leather/hood in Austrian Alps

I and a friend rented a Porsche 911 (992 – the latest model) Carrera 4S cabrio for a hoon in the Austrian Alps. I was quite specific in that only a 992 would do so was taken aback when some previous punter managed to smash the one we were supposed to rent – fair play to Billy and Sarah and team they managed to source an excellent one for us – a well specced C4S cabrio in the lovely crayon colour with the unusual vet’s forearm shade of hood and leather which I initially wasn’t keen on but grew to very much like and appreciate. Comments on car in another place on the internet but service excellent with quick responses to emails at odd times after business hours. They had a little difficulty making changes to delivery and pickup times but thinking back that’s not something I would mark them down for as they had to bring a crew and the car from Italy somewhere at the last minute as opposed to Munich. It wasn’t at all cheap but I got what I wanted – a guaranteed drive for a few days on some of the most awesome driving roads in the world in a superb example of the 992. I won’t regret the expenditure after the hurt has dissipated but I’ll still remember for a long time what that car can do (thank you for PCCB and not too intrusive traction control Porsche and thank you Europe Luxury Cars for the previously new tyres). Full marks overall. Do I get a discount on the next rental guys?

This was a surprise visit to Switzerland for our 30th Wedding Anniversary and 60th Birthday gift to my wife who has always wanted to visit Switzerland. We booked a Range Rover Sport 3.6 diesel version and despite my personal reservation on diesel fuel the vehicle was superb. It came from Italy by road; narrowly avoiding the road bridge collapse, and arrived at the Hotel de la Paix, Geneva twenty minutes before its agreed 0900 delivery time. The whole Europe Luxury Cars experience was superbly managed, Paul and the staff in the UK and Alejandro in Italy were superb, extremely helpful, we exchanged information by e-mail and telephone constantly and this just added immensely to the overall experience of hiring a luxury vehicle.I rate Europe Luxury Cars extremely highly as they are superb and I am now looking for a reason to return to Switzerland in a Europe Luxury Cars vehicle – the Bentley Bentayga or the Range Rover HSE 5 litre Supercharged.

Ferrari 296 GTS info

When it comes to drop-tops, the Ferrari 296 GTS is just sensationally gorgeous. This 2-seater supercar is the open-top version of the 296 GTB and makes for an exclusive driving experience. It offers a seamless plug-in hybrid powertrain, stunning looks and thrilling handling. Make a plan to rent yours for your next luxury road trip or special occasion, where you can arrive in breathtaking style.

The Exterior
The first feature that cannot be missed is the hardtop folding roof that opens and closes in just 14 seconds while travelling at speeds of up to 45 km/h. The lines are low and sleek with muscular flying rear buttresses that hint of the power waiting to be unleashed.
Notice the cooling intake besides the ultra-slim front LED headlights. An active spoiler is integrated into the rear bumper, to handle up to 360 kg of downforce at 250 km/h.

Don’t miss the body-coloured integrated door handles and body-coloured side mirrors with turn signals. Finishing the look is the iconic Prancing Horse discreetly displayed on the bonnet and rear.

The Interior
The Ferrari 296 GTB Interior is plush and refined. Features include genuine leather seats, a push-button shifter and a sports steering wheel with touch button controls. For lifestyle-comfort, there are cup holders, sun visors, and a small glove box for your mobile phone. Infotainment and technology features include a driver information display with integrated infotainment system, steering wheel touch control buttons, navigation, apple car play and SIRI voice control.

There is also a passenger speedometer, so no feels left out when you hit spine-tingling speeds.

The Drive
The Ferrari 296 GTS is fitted with a mid-rear 3.0-Litre turbocharged hybrid V6 engine teamed up with an 8-speed F1 DCT transmission and RWD drivetrain. The 296 GTB accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 330 km/h. Set your Manettino dial to Sport, Race, CT Off or ESC Off and cruise through the stages to get a grip on the 296 GTS’s staggering ability.

Driver Aids include Dynamic Enhancer 2.0 and a revamped Side Slip Control. The ABS Evo control module delivers incredible stopping distances and provides some of the finest brake pedal feel off the racetrack. Get seated, drop the top, and experience the thrilling soundtrack of the V6.

When you want a pure-bred supercar focused on the driver, this 2-seater coupé is the model for you. It offers a minimalist cabin and a blistering fast 621-hp twin-turbo V-6 engine. The car has been designed in collaboration with Dallara, a motorsport engineering company. The result is a light carbon-fibre structure with aluminium subframes that offers performance-related success.

Ferrari SF90 Stradale
Ferrari fans will also love the Ferrari SF90 Stradale, the first Ferrari to feature Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle architecture, technology that integrates the internal combustion engine with three electric motors. It is also the first Ferrari sports car to offer 4WD. The race-track style cabin features a 16-inch screen, controlled via a steering wheel touchpad for your right thumb. Headline numbers are 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and top speeds of 340 km/h.

Lamborghini Huracan Evo Spyder
For an equally exotic drive, we highly recommend the Lamborghini Huracan Evo Spyder. Evo stands for Evolution and this is an evolution of an already dynamic model. The drop-top opens in just 17 seconds to intensify the scream of the V10 engine.
The two supportive seats are designed for the racetrack and feature stunning contrast stitching.
