This hand assembled supercar offers a IPAS drive with a Boost capability, enabling the driver to deploy the full power and torque available even between gaps after shifts, it has a MonoCage chassis made of lightweight Kevlar and carbon-fiber, employs an active rear wing for its DRS (Drag Reduction System), taking McLaren to a whole new level. The P1 offers several driving modes, such as Launch, Electric (E-mode), Track, Race and Sport. When in Race mode you can lower your ride height down by 50mm and raise its rear spoiler using its proactive RaceActive chassis control, enabling downforce levels of 1,320 pounds, higher than any production car. You can recharge its battery for 10 minutes using its electric motor, a function the company dubbed as a special "pit-lane" recharge or through a plug in function for two hours. The electric motor can be engaged manually or automatically- the latter leaving the car's ECU system to distribute the optimum motor output. With a design inspired by fighter jet aerodynamics, this car's sleek lines are both elegant and functional.
