Being the 85th annual expo, the motor show has developed a reputation as "the event" for all car manufacturing firms wanting to launch their newest car models. Thus, many of the cars at the expo will be debuts, expected to take the automotive industry to the next level of technology, design and performance. We've got our bags packed already.
For a quick preview, the Oullim Spirra, Korea's supercar contribution will be heading to Geneva purely on electric power. Whilst the Spirra was first introduced back in 2008 with a Hyundai sourced 2.7L V6 engine, it has since been revamped as the Spirra Europe. A new version sports car with an all-electric powertrain and all-wheel drive capabilities.
The Ford Shelby GT350 has been a highly anticipated supercar due to hit the roads in the coming months. Rumors, spy shots and innuendo aside, Ford is due to unveil the Shelby GT350 at the Geneva Motor Show, it promises to be "an all-day track car that's also street legal".
The Audi S6 has also been well worth the wait, updated from the Audi A6 model with a more futuristic look, a boost in power and advanced handling technology. Added specs include an upscale in the cabin appointments, an enhanced MMI infotainment system that runs more fluidly thanks to a faster NVIDIA graphics chip and a duplicate display of the primary instrument cluster facing the operator, for added ease.
