In a stroke of genius the folks at Bugatti have decided to transform a Gran Turismo that was used as a digital concept car in a Bugatti driving simulation game into a real ‘flesh and blood’ super performance car.
Just revealed earlier this week, Bugatti announced that it will be premiering the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo, a wildly exciting supercar at the 66th International Motor Show in Frankfurt, for the enjoyment of all its fans and dedicated petrol heads.
The outward appearance of this car, can be considered nothing less than utterly ostentatious, and that indeed is why we have already booked our tickets to see it. The concept behind the car’s design was to pay homage to the marque’s legendary racing past, which it does very effectively, this car looks fast even whilst stationary. Whilst at the same time, this Gran Turismo shows off the latest cutting edge aerodynamics and is heaped to capacity with performance technology.
Achim Anscheidt, the head of Bugatti Design explained “in the Bugatti Vision, we have developed a super sports car which unites two characteristics, the beauty and the beast” a reference to its super dynamic looks and simultaneously racing capabilities. The designers, who were interested in creating a more extreme and performance-oriented supercar than that of a standard street-legal car, had two main priorities: Firstly, whilst being outside the usual model range provided by Bugatti, this visionary car still needed to look like a Bugatti, with a complete embodiment of the brand’s values of ‘Art, Forme, Technique’. Secondly, every part of the virtual vehicle had to have a real function, that now so effectively lends itself to a real car.
The Bugatti Vision is expected to replace the Veyron, which held the exclusive title of the world’s fastest car, as well as being one of the most expensive, but has just recently ceased production. It’s a replacement, that will certainly be attracting a lot of excitement well before it hits the road.
