After the recent unveiling of the stunning and much anticipated Bentley Bentayga at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, Bentley’s CEO, Wolfgang Durheimer, revealed upcoming plans for the Mulsanne.
For starters, Bentley is aiming to expand their line-up with a 2017 Mulsanne luxury car and a Mulsanne Grand Convertible, which will feature refined and subtle design changes and updated tech features.
Some of the design updates we can expect to see in the 2017 Bentley Mulsanne include a longer wheelbase, a new, boxy front fascia, a wider grille, re-styled circle LED headlamps, a bumper with three brick-shaped air intakes and a body that seems to sit lower and wider.
The interior of the 2017 Mulsanne is also expected to have some mild updates, such as updated seats with its leather upholstery featuring a new quilted pattern, a center console with more metallic inserts and the latest infotainment system and premium sound system.
The has been no word from Bentley as to which powertrain options will come available on the new Mulsanne, but most likely, we will see the same 7.75-liter V-8 twin turbo engine that will provide around 520 horsepower and 780 lb-ft of torque and the same eight-speed ZF automatic transmission.
