Enjoy the lovely magnificent as you head towards Gödöllő. When you arrive you won't fail to miss the main attraction, Grassalkovich Kastély, the Royal Palace, built in the 1740s. With its Baroque architecture this was originally home to Count Anton Grassalkovich and was given to the Habsburgs as a gift. View the royal apartment and the Baroque Theatre as well as the Royal Chapel where concerts are frequently hosted.

Then continue to Egar, it is about a one hour drive. See the Minaret, the northernmost medieval minaret in Europe and the tallest in Hungary towering at 42m. If you are fit and brave, take the steps to the top for stunning views.

See the Basilica and the Baroque-style Lyceum building which functions as a college. Music lovers will be thrilled to see the handwritten letter by Mozart kept here. See the Observatory in the tower which features a mirror telescope and a cannon sun dial that announces midday with a small explosion!

Go underground to the explore the Town under the Town. This archiepiscopal wine cellar is located deep under the Basilica. Visit for a taste of some fine wines. Then stop at Dobos Cukraszda for delicious home-made marzipan cakes and a cup of coffee. After the break, do some wine tasting in the Valley of Beautiful Women, Szépasszony-völgy. This region is world famous and myriads of small cellars dot the outskirts of the city.

End your day relaxing at the beautiful thermal baths at Agyagos Vendégház where you will be suitably pampered.

The Dictator

Sacha Baron Cohen’s film may well be classified as a satirical comedy, but if there is one thing that the fictitious dictator Gen. Aladeen takes very seriously, it’s his outrageous fleet of luxury cars. Our team at Europe Luxury Cars is proud to have been a key supplier of high-end (and sometimes over-the-top) cars for all scenes filmed in Europe.

When the legendary motor show dedicated a special to the south of Spain, they relied on Europe Luxury Cars to supply some of the most prestigious vehicles the region has to offer. The special was aptly titled Supercars in Spain (Series 20, Episode 3) where Jeremy, James and Richard each did their best to make these supercars shine.
