Get lost strolling around the town. Visit the Český Krumlov State Castle and Chateau. Take a guided tour and admire the fabulous interiors. Then climb up to the top of the castle tower for stunning views.
See the Regional Museum with exhibitions of Bohemian antiques and geological fossils. Visit the top floor which has a ceramic scale model of Český Krumlov at the turn of the 19th century.
See the Museum Vltavínů, the Moldavite Museum. This unique precious stone was created by a meteorite impact 15 million years ago. Learn about the story via interactive displays and the fascinating fact that although the meteorite crashed into Germany, these stones were thrown 300 km from the crater to this spot!
Take a trip down a graphite mine, where you will need to dress up like a miner and ride on an underground train.
When you surface, stop for a bite at the Krčma v Šatlavské. This cosy tavern on the site of the old jail house is popular with tourists and locals. Order the onion soup in a bread bowl followed by some meats grilled on the open fire.
