Start your tour at the Diana Lookout Tower where you can take a funicular to get to the heights. If you are fit, walk up the paths that wind through the lovely forests. See the view over the town and visit the mini zoo.
Head for the left bank of the Teplá River where you will view the Mill Colonnade. It is one of the traditional symbols of the town with 124 Corinthian columns. Above the portico sit 12 statues representing the 12 months of the year. Enjoy lunch at the Charleston. This 1920s themed venue offers traditional Wienerschnitzel made from veal, not pork!
Then head for the Castle Spa. It is one of the most magnificent spa centres in Europe. It offers clients a large range of relaxation programs and pampering treatments. Try the thermo-mineral pool which is overlooked by the huge dominating face of the Spirit Of Springs. Experience the acupressure basin and the sauna box and finish off with a full body massage.
When you are done, stroll around the town and buy some delicious Spa Wafers. They come in a variety of flavours and are best freshly made when they are still warm.
Don’t rush back to the big city. Spend the night at the famous Grandhotel Pupp. Is is an iconic venue and was featured in a number of movies including the James Bond film, Casino Royale.
