Set off from Cannes on a day trip to the quaint town of Valbonne. Nestling on the Brague River, this small village was founded in 1519 by the Bishop of Grasse who brought Italian artisans to settle here and make use of local clay for art to boost the region.
Take a walking tour around the old 16th century village. The streets are designed in a classic grid pattern and many of the original homes have sunk below street level. See the former Town Hall with its beautiful fountain and tower. Spend time in the Church of Valbonne.
