From Lake Como to Milan

The architecture is amazing and the beautiful gardens make for a short relaxing break. Seek out Il Carpaccio for lunch, it is a fabulous traditional Milanese trattoria. Order the famous cime di cicoria with oil and parmesan. After lunch, a visit to the Cathedral Square and Piazza del Duomo is a must. See Santa Maria del Fiore, Giotto’s Bell tower and the Baptistery of St. John. Art lovers will delight in the works of Donatello, Michelangelo and more at the Museo dell’ opera del Duomo. Make sure you do not miss the iconic 'The Last Supper'.

Then set off to the quieter section of Milan known as Brera. It offers quaint winding streets overflowing with colourful pots of flowers, quaint little shops and a bohemian atmosphere. Relax at a café and enjoy a glass of wine and then buy some trinkets to take home.
