Pass through Zurich itself and follow Lake Zurich to Rapperswil, nicknamed the City of Roses. Stroll around the cobblestone streets of the Old Town and visit the medieval castle. Head on over the breath-taking Ricken Pass with its panoramic views of the Alps and stop in the delightful Toggenburg region. The pretty hills and valley scenery is just waiting for your camera.
Once in tiny Principality of Liechtenstein, stop at the old covered bridge, which spans the Rhine River and provides a unique way to cross the border between Liechtenstein and Switzerland. This weathered wooden rustic bridge only accommodates foot or bicycle traffic. Leave your van and stroll over for stunning Alpine views. The set off to Vaduz, the capital city. Stamp collectors must visit the Post Office, they know that these stamps are coveted the world over! Stop for a bite at the Old Castle Inn, it offers authentic food with a pleasant local atmosphere.
