Biot is the first town you will get to. It is known for its thousands of cats that roam around. Biot also has a fascinating history of pottery and glass blowing. Take a tour at the Verrerie de Biot to learn more about these amazing hand crafts. Stop at La Pierre A Four for a late breakfast of local home cheese and delicious breads.
Then set off for Valbonne. Pass through the Sophia Antipolis Technology Park, which lies between the two towns and employs many expats. When you reach Valbonne visit the Musée de la Photographie André Villers. It has some fascinating black and white photographs of Picasso. Have a bite at the Le Petit Fouet, this Mougins bistro offers an excellent selection of vegetarian mains.
After lunch stroll around the Old Town with its narrow winding streets, visit the antique fair where hidden gems can be found. Sit in the main square at a small café and watch the people passing by. Then relax in the Les Jardins du MIP. It is part of the Grasse’s Musée International de la Parfumerie and showcases plants used in the making of perfumes.
