When you arrive, head off to the Medieval Roquebrune Village overlooking Cap Martin and the coast of Monaco. Stroll along the small winding streets and visit the famous Castle built in the 10th century. Enjoy the spectacular views from high up across the village rooftops and the ocean.
Then set off to the 12th century Church of Saint-Marguerite situated in the Old Village. It was redecorated with a colourful baroque style façade. With a frescoed ceiling above the altar and stunning paintings, this is a must see for historians and art lovers. Drive onto the 1000 year old Olive Tree, supposedly the oldest in the world! Make sure you take some photos.
Exchange the old for the new and head to the New Town where you can view the posh classy villas and landscaped gardens. Stop at the Cap Martin Coastal Path that follows all the way around Cap Martin and admire the Villa E-1027 built in 1930 by Eileen Gray. Relax on the pebble beach and soak up the sun before setting off for a long walk. A late lunch at the Au Grand Inquisiteur Restaurant is a must, where the brave can try a frog and mushroom pie!
