See the famous statue of Columbus opening a contract with Queen Isabel which outlines the agreement for his iconic voyage to the Americas. Relax on the benches nearby and watch the crowds of people. Visit the Cathedral of Granada, known for its magnificent Renaissance interior. You will be awed by towering circular Capilla Mayor, with its magnificent domed ceiling.
Have a bite at a traditional tapas restaurants on the Plaza Nueva, the oldest square in the city and located beneath the towering Alhambra. Then visit the Alhambra itself. This vast complex of palaces, gardens, a citadel, a fortress and more was the home to Sultans and Royals. See the fabulous Alcazaba, the Renaissance style Palace of Charles V and stroll through the Alhambra Museum and the Fine Art Museum. The breathtakingly architecture of the Palacios Nazaries will delight. Relax in the lush and gorgeous gardens of Generalife, they offer a stunning example of Moorish style gardens.
End your day with a scenic stroll along the cobble-stoned Carrera del Darro and dinner at the Arrayanes, where real spicy Moroccan cuisine is offered with refreshing lemon juice or cooling mint tea.
