Set off from Naples and head to the famous Ruins of Pompeii. Be engrossed at the history and relics on show. This city, frozen in time, was buried under tons of molten lava when Mount Vesuvius erupted in 79AD. See ancient preserved Roman streets, millennia-old houses, temples and amphitheatres. Explore the Museum and buy a souvenir to take home.
Continue to the lovely town of Sorrento that overlooks the Bay of Naples. Stroll around the Piazza Tasso, named after the poet Torquato Tasso. Visit the magnificent Baroque Church del Carmine. Then head to the Marina Piccola, sit and sip a limoncello, the signature lemon liqueur drink while admiring the boats.
