Visit the beautiful Cascate di Molina park in Molina and enjoy the natural falls. Take a wine tasting tour to learn about how wine is made. Visit the vineyards, cellars and grape drying centres. Then relax and sample some of the famous Valpolicella wines.
Stop at a local market and buy some Monte Veronese, the typical cheese produced in the Verona mountains. It can be fresh or aged and is great with Soppressata, a salami of the Veneto region.
Take a trip on the Mount Baldo Cable Car from the bottom of Mount Baldo in Malcesine. You will love the panoramic views from the top. Now set off to Lago di Garda itself, located in the shadows of the Dolomite mountains. At just over 50km long it is the largest lake in Italy and at its deepest point has a depth of 350 m.
Visit Riva, the most northerly town on Lake Garda and see the Clock Tower. Visit the tiny villages of Nago and Torbole. Drive to Gargnano, a picturesque town with narrow, winding medieval streets, a small waterfront with a marina and a large church with an impressive spire.
Then spend time on the water, try some sailing, kite surfing or windsurfing. Settle down for the evening at the Hotel Al Castello Lake Garda where you can see stunning views and enjoy local food.
